About
Experience matters. Kender is one of the oldest names in Siberian Cats in the U.S. We imported our very first Siberian cat, Karoline Abakan, in 1992. We are the longest continuous breeder/exhibitor of Siberians in the United States.
Kender is committed to temperament.
Kender is a home based cattery and our kittens are raised in the household with other cats, kids, and all the family chaos you'd expect. We're proud that our kittens go home socialized to be great members of their new family. Kender is committed to health.
Our breeding cats are tested for the genetic diseases of PKD and PK Def by DNA as well as HCM via ultrasound. We are proud to be one of the original members of The Siberian Cat Health Group and database. We continue to submit the results of our cats' tests so they can be made public. We believe strongly in helping the breed by making information on health in breeding readily accessible. Kender is committed to great Siberian looks
Our Siberian Cats are shown in CFA and LCWW. We are committed to breeding Siberians that retain strong Siberian type. We know not everyone is looking for a show cat, but we also know a Siberian should look Siberian. We take pride in our achievements in the show ring and we support the cat fancy. Author to the one and only book on the Siberian Cat dedicated to its unique heritage and history while giving real world information you can use every day.
